Bedroom envy
They’re having a DIY contest over on Design*Sponge that you have to check out. It never ceases to amaze me how creative and innovative these DIYers can be in their home decor. Wow wow wow. I wish I had that kind of skill. This is by far my favorite entry, a bedroom by a ridiculously talented DIYer named Kellie. The description says that she painted the chandelier by projecting its image on the wall, but seeing as how I’m not that ambitious, I might opt for a Blik wall decal instead. She also made the headboard, which is a project I desperately need to tackle myself. I love the simplicity of her colors paired with that punchy dresser (which she painted and decorated with wrapping paper, hello!) and the green throw pillows. Elegant and chic, and I bet it didn’t cost her half as much as going to a home furnishing store or hiring a desinger. Truly inspirational. I’m saving this one for my idea files.
